DIY | Old-fashioned crush on the Red Rose

Monday 03 January 2022

Red roses for Valentine's Day. Even if the world's best marketer tried to get a different flower to number one during the day of love, it would fail. We are using the love for the rose to present the rose in another way.

What do you need?

  • 40 Red Naomi roses 70 cm

  • 2 bunches of bear grass

  • Metal ring diameter 35 x 50 cm

  • Mistral fibre 75 cm 20 m black

  • Mistral fibre 75 cm 20 m grey

  • Organza fabric 25 mm 50 m black

  • Bind wire

  • Stapler

Step 1
Cut large triangles from the two colours of organza fabric, fold the ends of the outer points and staple firmly.

Step 2
Bend the ring to a heart-shaped frame and set out the shape in broad outlines with a number of roses. Tie firmly with bind wire.

Step 3
Arrange the roses overlapping like roof tiles and in the shape of a heart. Tuck away the frame completely. Bind and cut off.

Step 4
Lay the bouquet on the organza fabric and cut extra strips of organza fabric to finish off the front. Staple firmly. Wrap the binding point with ribbon and tie firmly.

TIP:

By arranging the roses overlapping like roof tiles in the shape of a heart, all roses will get the same amount of space in the bouquet. And by choosing a dark packaging material and a shiny ribbon, you give the bouquet a touch of luxury right away.
