Seven years ago, a search began for the perfect purple Celosia, one that doesn鈥檛 constantly need adjustments in lighting, temperature, and growth regulators. Together with breeders, Preferred Supplier Ammerlaan-Sosef went all-in on improvement. The result? A Deep Purple with strong genetics that grows more naturally.
The outside remains the same: same intense colour, same sleeve. But the inside, the DNA, has been optimised. This new generation of Deep Purple:
- Requires less heat (grows at 18 instead of 21 degrees Celcius)
- Grows without additional lighting
- Grows and blooms in tune with greenhouse conditions

For customers, this means a more stable product, less dependent on external factors, and most importantly: a more sustainable choice. The old Deep Purple will gradually be phased out, but until then, both versions will be available.
