DIY | Pink is for romance

Thursday 03 February 2022

Besides the colour red, its softer sister pink is a shade that you simply can’t do without on Valentine’s Day. Apart from different colours, flowers other than the typical Valentine’s Day choices have also become an absolute must this year.

  • Pink wrapping paper (heavier quality)

  • Aluminium wrapping string

  • Flax cord, pink

  • Chrysanthemum Abbey

Instructions:

  1. Take advantage of the round shape of the rattan. Pull it apart, bend it and shape it until you have an airy, flat heart shape. Just do this intuitively it and use your imagination! Use fasteners at several places so that the heart will keep its shape and to create a frame.

  2. Insert the Gypsophila (baby’s breath) twigs into the openings. This will serve as the basic structure for your bouquet.

  3. Insert the other flowers through the frame and in between the baby’s breath in groups. Bind together using the flax cord.

  4. Wrap with a generous amount of the light pink paper.
