³ÉÈËÊÓƵz is here for every florist this wedding season! The wedding season is all about creativity for florists: combining your unique style with the wishes of each couple.
Our ambassador Madita from Grace and Flowers got to work with gladioli, and became an instant fan! The gladiolus might have a bit of a corny or boring reputation, but by now a lot has changed in gladiolus-land. Madita, for instance, highlights the remarkable texture the flower has. Just look at the jagged edges of the Flamenco varieties.
Madita started looking at the with different eyes through this Masterpieces No Filter assignment. She waited until most of the flowers were open before making her creations. This offers perspective, so you can suddenly use the green stem in many more different ways. Both on length - and compact!
Because of the gladiolus' long vase life, sometimes you have to wait for flowers to bloom. But it's worth the wait - fully open varieties are not inferior to a large-flowered rose. So think ahead and order them on time. You will be rewarded!
For her compact creations, Madita has split the stem, removed the green tip of the gladiolus, giving the flower a completely different look. In addition, she found out that gladioli do not care whether they are in a vase with water, or handled dry. This makes these strong flowers perfect for a wedding bouquet!
And would you like to learn about the other side of products yourself? Communicate the added value of flowers & plants and the florist's craft and thereby inform and inspire others? Then FM Group's ambassador programme offers you a platform to do so.
Masterpieces is the place for florists to exhibit their distinctiveness, increase their visibility and connect with growers and other partners in the floriculture sector. In short, an enrichment for every florist.
